Like in any religion, Christianity also has a period where communal worship is done to praise God. Normally this worship, which is called a church service, takes place on a Sunday, but sometimes it can also take place upon a Saturday. People who take part in a church service are going to know more about the Word of God, as written in the Bible, and given hope and faith to continue their lives. A church service means this worship, which is taking place in the church with a gathering of people who have come to worship there. Every single sect of Christianity has its own way of reforming church services.
You will not find genuflection in a Protestant service while it is an integral part in Roman Catholic services. In the same manner, the Anglican service is going to be different from the Eastern Orthodox services. Evangelical styles may have a component in which non-Christians are encouraged to become Christians. The some groups which do not have a fixed service, but the worship develops as the people who were present there want it to move. Nevertheless, a normal church service includes the beginning of the service by the ringing a bell, singing hymns, and reading out a portion of the scripture loudly, some psalm singing, and a sermon based upon the teachings of the Bible.
There are also churches that have Holy Communion a couple of times in a month, and there is an emphasis upon sermons in some denominations and congregations. You can have music from the choir with the congregation singing along from a hymnbook.
