There was a time when the religion that was practiced by the majority of the population in a city or a country had some rules and regulations that applied to all the people who were not even following the same religion. Politics have been practiced by various dominating religion in old times. In ancient times there used to be no government and election through which people can elect their representative in order to work and fight for their rights and benefits.
Any person who committed crime was presented in front of the ruler of religion and was subjected to punishment or penalty as decided by the ruler. For example, in ancient times people were made to gather in the church and the guilty was brought to the church. His case was resolved by putting the lights on all the crimes he has committed, sometimes if a person had committed a serious crime he was even sentenced to death without letting him speak anything in his favour.
All those people who were arrested for petty crimes were either punished to main and clean the church for a considerable amount of time so that he does not commit the same mistake again in his life. The leaders or the prime followers of the religion used to set certain sets of rule that had to be followed by each individual so that the society lives in peace and harmony. Every Sunday a political meeting was held in which people were told about the important decision or new events that were to take place soon.
