BEN ROSKAMS

Benjamin is a highly sought after chamber and orchestral musician. He studied in London at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Guildhall with Lydia Mordkovitch, Emanuel Hurwitz and David Takeno before a time at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Ilya Grubert. He also enjoyed many years working regularly with Ivry Gitlis in Paris.

 

Ben has played in many of the orchestras in the UK in principal positions as well as all of the London orchestras, most recently in the position of principal viola with the BBC Symphony, Philharmonia and London Philharmonic Orchestra.

 

As a violinist he has frequently appeared as guest concertmaster of the Sinfonieorchesters Wuppertal, Aachen and Münster and as stv concertmaster in Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Ben has appeared in chamber music festivals internationally and is looking forward to upcoming performances in Germany, UK, Holland and Australia.

He plays a violin by Joseph filius Andrea Guarneri and a viola from the Amati school.
