Raja Halder, a distinguished violinist born in Calcutta, commenced his musical journey at the tender age of six. His prodigious talent led him to study at the prestigious Chetham’s School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, where he was mentored by renowned violinists Mateja Marinkovic and Tomotada Soh.

 

His exceptional skill and dedication have earned him numerous accolades, including awards from the Royal Overseas League, the Audi Junior Music Competition, and the Royal Academy of Music.
 

As a soloist, Raja has captivated audiences across the UK, Europe, and Asia. His performances have been celebrated at esteemed venues and festivals such as the Conbrio Festival in Mumbai, the Ischia Festival, the Anghiari Festival, and the MMCJ in Japan.

Raja's passion for chamber music is equally impressive. As a former member of the Vardanyan String Quartet, he performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals across the UK and Europe, including the Barbican, Wigmore Hall, Conway Hall, Harmos Festival, International Chamber Music Festival in Trondheim, and the Greenwich String Quartet Festival. His collaborative spirit has seen him perform alongside eminent musicians such as Emma Johnson, Levon Chilingirian, Jack Liebeck, Leon Bosch, MelvynTan, Patricia Rozario, Jennifer Gilbert, Richard Harwood, and members of the Allegri Quartet.
